Edward W. Brooke Charter School (EWBCS), a tuition-free, K-8 public charter school, opened in 2002 with the mission of providing quality college preparatory education to Boston's underserved youths. Named after Senator Edward W. Brooke, the first African American elected to the U.S. Senate and the first and only black senator from Massachusetts, the school is committed to preparing each student for success in college and beyond. From the first day of school to the last, we encourage our students to have focus and integrity, to respect themselves and others, to have confidence in their abilities, and teach them the value of teamwork to achieve their personal and academic goals. These values guide the work our teachers and staff do everyday at Edward W. Brooke Charter School. Here we hold the same high expectations for all students, and we work hard to ensure that no student falls through the cracks.
At full capacity, we will serve grades K1 - 8. Visit us on the web at ebrooke.org or plan a visit to our school. Please feel free to contact us at:
